Indian Wars Medal of Honor Recipient. Served during the Indian Wars as a Corporal in Company E, 4th United States Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery near Red River, Texas from September 26 to 28, 1874. His simple citation reads “Gallantry in action”. His Medal was issued on October 13, 1875.
