Mr. Robert Allen "Bobby" Hudson, Sr. was born on Saturday, February 27, 1932 in Pascagoula, Ms. and departed on Tuesday, October 18, 2005. He married Annette Maxwell on February 16, 1963.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 'Jimmy' Hudson and Viola Hudson; brother, 'J.T.' Hudson; sister, Viola 'Sis' Hester and best friend, Eddie Barton (#62653109).

He is survived by three sons, Robert "Rob" (Sheila) Hudson of Vancleave, Ms., Richard "Ricky" (Theresa) Hudson of Wade, Ms. and Michael (Kellie) Hudson of Middleburg, Fl.; grandchildren, Chuck, Kendall, Corey, Nikki, Robbie, Josh, Hailey, Kloe, and Kaden Hudson; a brother, Edward "Eddie" (Jackie) Hudson of Moss Point, Ms.; a sister, Joyce Price of Pensacola, Fl.; and sister-in-law, Shizuko 'Yogi' Hudson of Concord, Calif.; and a host of other family members.

Upon graduation from OLV Catholic High School in 1952 he became a firefighter for the City of Pascagoula under the leadership of his father, Chief James "Jimmy" Hudson. Shortly thereafter he joined the U.S. Navy as a firefighter and served during the Korean War. After two years in the Navy, he hired on with Ingalls Shipbuilding with their Fire Dept. He left Ingalls and went to work with H. K. Porter as a supervisor for 13 years. After his employment with H. K. Porter, he went to work with The City of Pascagoula holding several positions including electrical inspector, building inspector, Public Works Superintendent, City Tax Collector, Incinerator Director along with Harbor Master and Safety Director. He retired in 1997 after 26 years.

In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and racing cars. After retirement, he became an avid golfer at Whispering Pines but more than anything he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 20, 2005 from 5 - 8 p.m. at O'Bryant ~ O'Keefe Funeral Home. Service will be Friday, October 21, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Pascagoula, Ms. with visitation one hore prior to service.

Interment at Jackson County Memorial Garden Mausoleum, Pascagoula, Ms. Severing as pallbearers were Stephen O'Brien, Wayne Cook, Jr., Nicky Maxwell, Dane Maxwell, Shaun Goodman and Glenn Rivers.

Robert A. Hudson ,Sr. was originally intered in the Mausoleum of Jackson County Memorial Park, Pascagoula, MS. Remains were re-interred into the Hudson family plot of Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula, MS. on Feb. 7, 2019
