Aaron is buried in an unmarked grave.

Aaron worked as captain of a river boat and supplied the people who lived from Macon to Darien on the Ocmulgee and Altamaha Rivers with merchandise and trade supplies.

Aaron was a land owner whose holdings ran some five miles in distance and his land was stocked with cattle and sheep.
He was known as a gentle man who read and studied the Bible.

Legend has it that during the Civil War Aaron buried some gold on his property to hide it from General Sherman's men as they came through on their march to the sea. The gold, however, has never been found.
