Erma Vance Bourne, our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on Nov. 26, 2010.

Erma was the second child born to Henry Clifford and Nadine Allen Vance in Tremonton, Utah, on June 4, 1918. She was raised in Tremonton and graduated from Bear River High School.

Erma married Charles J. Bourne on March 14, 1938. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He passed away on Aug. 2, 1991. J. and Erma made their home in Riverside where they were blessed with four children: Vance (Brenda) Bourne, of Tremonton, Sherrie (Terry) Prettyman, of Riverside, Linden (Cindi) Bourne, of Sandy, and Brad (Marchel) Bourne, of Riverside. She has 11 grandchildren (two deceased), 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Erma is also survived by a brother, Lowell (Ada Jean) Vance, sister-in-law, Beth Laub Vance, and brother-in-law, Mirl Andersen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Lamont, Lois, Wilma, and Leland; and grandchildren, Loren and Michelle.

Erma's entire life has been filled with service to her family, church and community. She served in many church callings. She served in the Logan LDS Temple with her dear husband for nine years. Erma was a terrific cook. She loved flowers and gardening and kept a beautiful yard. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at the Belmont Second Ward located at 16925 N. 5200 W., Riverside, Utah. Viewings will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rudd Funeral Home 1234 S. Main St. in Garland, Utah, and prior to services from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Interment will be in the Fielding Cemetery.
