Mrs. Margaret Murphy Paterson, 74, of 554 Ridge Ave., died of pneumonia at 8:50 p.m. Sunday in South Side Hospital.
Mrs. Paterson was born April 2, 1881, in Yorkshire, England, a daughter of John and Ann Williams Richards, and came to Youngstown 49 years ago from Greenvile, Pa., where she had lived 12 years. She was a member of St. Columba parish and the Rosewood Club. Her first husband, James Murphy, to whom she was married in 1901, died in 1916. Her second husband, James Paterson, to whom she was married in 1919, died in 1921.
She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Charles Wigton of Youngstown and Mrs. Elizabeth Murphy, with whom she lived, and Mrs. Virgil Leonhart, both of Youngstown, two sons, James and Edward Murphy, both of Youngstown; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the church. Friends may call tomorrow evening and Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Fox Funeral Home.
