She was a devoted wife and beloved mother and grandmother who gave unreservedly for her family. She truly enjoyed cooking especially preparing for holiday gatherings. She will be greatly missed and remembered always.
Born in Clarksdale, Miss. June 5, 1919 and raised in Greenville, Miss. and longtime resident of Baton Rouge.
Preceded in death by her husband, Harry I. Abboud; brothers, Abraham, George, and Jimel Shamoon; and sisters, Edna and Mozelle Shamoon, and Juliette Watkins, all of Greenville.
Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia A. and Stephen M. Kleinpeter of Baton Rouge; sons, Ronald S. and Debra Cashiola Abboud of Port Allen, Charles J. and Connie Cassidy Abboud of Baton Rouge, H. Patrick Abboud of Baton Rouge and W. Gregory Abboud of Prairieville; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Gordon C. Abboud, Kenneth P. Abboud, R. Stephen Abboud, Mathew J. Abboud, Samuel G. Abboud, Scott M. Kleinpeter, and Garrett S. Kleinpeter.
Visitation will be Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
The Rev. Gerald Burns and the Rev. Jeff Bayhi will officiate.
