George died in Hopewell Twp., Huntingdon Co. and records show he was buried at Russellville. There are two cemeteries in Russellville. One was associated with the local Methodist Church. Today the other cemetery in Russellville is associated with St. Paul's UCC Church; however, this church was formerly called St. Paul's Reformed Church. We believe George is buried at St. Paul's. If we have "placed" him in the wrong cemetery, please let me know. I walked both cemeteries in June 2012 and could not find his tombstone.
George married Eva Wecht. Her parents were Johan Casper Wecht (various spellings, including Wacht & Weight) & Eva Puhl.
George & Eva's children included: Samuel; Eliza, Eve (Eicher - two husbands by that surname), Daniel, Catharine (Bressler); Caroline (Weaver, Tompkins); & William.
Besides the children named above, we know from George's 1840 census entry that two additional females and one additional male were enumerated in their household. We believe (but cannot prove) that we have identified the two females: Susannah (Custanbauter) and Mary (Long).
