Ruth Velma Austin, age 89, a resident of Russellville, AR, died Sunday, July 8, 2001 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center at Russellville, AR. She was born on August 28, 1911 at Russellville, AR, to Jess and Nancy Elizabeth (Garrison) Shinn. She was a member of West Side Church of Christ.
Survivors include four grandchildren and their spouses, Steven and Karen Austin of Russellville, Debora and Tommy Shaver of Van Buren, Jackie and Keith Austin-Hill of Carbonado, Melinda Wohaska of Russellville; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Leo Shinn of Russellville.
Funeral service will be 10 A.M. Thursday, July 12, 2001 at the Humphrey Chapel officiated by Dan Lightfoot. Burial will be at the Booher at Russellville, AR under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
