Born in Grasheim, Bavaria, son of Johan Kasper and Elizabeth (Dannhauser) Ebenhoch. Immigrated to the U.S. 15 Jul 1890 on the ship Werra. Husband of Seraphina Winnegger. 14 children: 4 daughters and 1 son lived to adulthood and also immigrated to the US, all settling in Ohio.


Akron Evening Times, Thursday, 5 March 1914:

"IGNATZ EBENHOCH, 76

EBENHOCH--Ignatz Ebenhoch, 76, of 145 Palmeyer avenue, died Tuesday afternoon of exhaustion incident to old age. He had been a resident of Akron for 24 years. One son and three daughters survive. Funeral services Friday at 9 a.m. at St. Bernard's church. Burial in St. Bernard's cemetery."

Akron Beacon Journal, Thursday Evening, March 5, 1914:

"The funeral of Ignatz Ebenhoch, 76 years old, 185 Palmeyer avenue, will be held Friday morning at 8:30 o'clock at St. Bernard's church, conducted by Father Kotheimer. Burial will be in St. Bernard's cemetery.

The death occurred Tuesday. He is survived by one son and three daughters."
