Mrs. Mary J. Milroy, widow of the late General Robert Milroy and a prominent pioneer, died last night at 7:45 o'clock at the Milroy family home at Eleventh and Main streets.

Mrs. Milroy was the daughter of Valerius Armitage, of a prominent American family, and was born at Alexandra, Pa., April 23, 1824. She was married to general Robert Milroy at Delphi, Indiana, May 17, 1849. General Milroy came to Washington Territory in 1872 and the following year Mrs. Milroy and the children joined him.

Of seven children three survive. They are Val. A. Milroy, city clerk of Olympia, and W. J. and R. B. Milroy, who are now in the Inmachuck country, north of Kotzabue Sound, Alaska.
