Hastings resident, Dale Asmus, 92, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska. Dale was born October 23, 1918 in Hastings, Nebraska to Otto & Margaret (Crandall) Asmus.

Dale graduated from Hastings High School in 1936. On September 17, 1939, he married Etta Zimmerman; she preceded him in death. He entered the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged on October 18, 1945. He married Dorothy Benker in 1990; she preceded him in death in 2008. He worked more than 40 years as a chief dispatcher for Nebraska Public Power District. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge #50 A.F. & A.M., and the Tehama Temple.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; son, Keith Asmus; and one brother.
