Old Resident Dies on Way to Hospital. Peter B Hanson, one of the oldest residents of Racine, died in the city ambulance on Saturday evening while en route to St Mary's hospital. He was 61 years of age. Hanson came to Racine with his parents in 1865. He was 7 years old at the time. He has resided here ever since, making his residence on the west side, where he was well and favorably known. He has been employed by the J I Case family for years, being a repair man at the car barns when that family conducted the street railway system, and working for the past 20 years at the Case T M Co. For the past 5 or 6 years he was foreman of the equipment department. Death was due to apoplexy. He was suddenly stricken on Saturday evening at his home at 1905 Northwestern avenue and a call was sent for the city ambulance. He was rushed to St Mary's hospital, but he died before the ambulance arrived there. Dr Sorenson examined him at the hospital, and pronounced that all signs of life were extinct. The body was removed to the morgue of the Junction Furniture Co. Hanson leaves 2 sons, Fred of Detroit, Mich, and Frank of 808 Racine street, Racine--and also one niece, Miss Christy Christensen who is engaged in Red Cross work in Russia. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home of his son Frank E Hanson. Interment will be at Mound cemetery.
