CLOUD - Noel W. Cloud, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Cloud, was born January 31, 1894 at Columbia, and passed away August 15, 1970 at the Kansas University Medical Center, in Kansas City, Kansas.
He was united in marriage to Iva Youtsey on February 7, 1926.
Mr. Cloud was a life member of the Chariton Masonic Lodge No. 63 A.F. & A.M. of which he was Past Master. He was a member of the York Rite Bodies, and also of the Consistory and the Za Ga Zig Shrine, both of Des Moines. He was Past Grand Treasurer of the Grand Lodge of Iowa.
He was past president of the Chariton Rotary Club and of the Lake View Golf and Country Club.
Mr. Cloud was Mayor of Chariton for two different terms, and was a member of the city council.
He was also a member of the Chariton Cemetery Board and past member of the United Methodist Church Board.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Wauneita McConnell at 3:30 p.m. Monday, August 17, 1970 at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
