Ernest E. Roe
Ernest E. Roe, 65, of Davis Rd., Corning RD 2, died suddenly Sunday, December 21, 1980, at his home.

Born in Billings, Mont., July 25, 1915, he was the son of John and Winifred Rogers Roe. He married Winifred Bucher Oct 28, 1949.

A resident of this area for 47 years, he was a mechanic at Corning Glass Works where he retired in 1977 after working approximately 30 years.

He was a World War II veteran, serving as a military policeman in the U.S. Army.

Surviving are: his wife, Winifred; a brother, Harold of Bernan, NY., three sisters, Mrs. Leslie (Edna) Force of Corning, Betty Stutzer of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Stephen (Martha) Green of Winston Salem, N.C.; several half brothers and sisters.

There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be at the family's convenience at the Stover Funeral Home.

He was a member of the Big Flats Post of the American Legion and the Corning VFW Post.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army.

Arrangements were made by Stover's Funeral Home.
