RICHMOND, TEXAS - Earline Terry Kizziah of Richmond, Texas, died peacefully in her sleep Nov. 13, 2010. Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 from 5 to 7 p.m., and the funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Houston, Texas.
Mrs. Kizziah was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Flossie Terry, and husband, Collier B. Kizziah.
She is survived by her children, Thomas Bienville Kizziah (Carla) and William Alfred Kizziah (Janice), and special daughter-in-law Sheila Barnes; grandchildren Megan Gene Broughton (Tyler), Tony Kizziah (Lisa), Tiffany Kizziah, Shan Kizziah (Renee), Chase Kizziah and Morgan Kizziah; great-grandchildren Kiley, Colton and Kade Kizziah, Abigail Broughton and two more on the way; sisters, Alice Kizziah of Tuscaloosa, Alligene Madison of Theodore, AL, Betty Tucker of Northport, and brother Eugene Terry of Tuscaloosa.
Earline, a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School, worked in the retail grocery business with the A&P Tea Company for 25 years in Tuscaloosa and Greensboro, and with Randall's Food Markets in Houston, Texas, for 33 years.
She served as a Cub Scout den mother for eight years and with the Boy Scouts of America for four years. "Miss Earline" served in her church's child care department for 22 years. She was active in the Methodist Women's Club for 18 years in Greensboro.
Every Wednesday, Earline worked at the Samaritan House in Trinity, Texas. She was also an active member of the Red Hats group of Trinity until May when her health began to decline. Before that, she took care of elderly people in Trinity.
Earline loved her family, church and animals. She was a very loving and giving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she was always there when needed. Mom, we love you so and we will miss you so very much.
