Funeral services were Wednesday, June 10, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Bloomfield. Pastor Marcille Jensen officiated. Pallbearers were Lonnie Greckel, Harlan Gagge, Lyle Schrader, Mark Stelling, John Reynolds and Marvin Hagge. Burial was in the Bloomfield Cemetery, Bloomfield, Nebraska. Brockhaus-Scott Funeral Home, Bloomfield, was in charge of the arrangements.
William Bahr was born June 29, 1912, in Hartington, Nebraska, the son of Gustav and Julianna (Suckstorf) Bahr. He was baptized in July 1912, and confirmed November 18, 1915, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Bloomfield. He attended Roseville District #79 school and the Crockett School. He then joined his father and brother, Herman, farming the farm and continued after their father's retirement. They sold the farm in 1990, and both retired to the Good Samaritan Center in Bloomfield.
Surviving are one sister, Dorothy Lowin of Bloomfield; one brother, Herman Bahr of Bloomfield; his half brother, Nick Suckstorf of Bloomfield; one nephew, Kenneth Lowin of Cedar Falls, IA; three great-nephews; one great-niece; one great-great-nephew; and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gustav Bahr and one nephew, Jerome Lowin.
