Ruth Lucko nee Smith was born on May 28, 1943, to Ray Ted and Margaret Burke Smith in New Orleans. She graduated from Ball High School in Galveston. On June 30, 1962, she married Wilbert Lucko. She was a member of the Fleur de lis Garden Club and St. Monica's Ladies Altar Society, served as a Sunday school teacher at St. Monica's and helped her husband coach little league baseball. Mrs. Lucko died Wednesday, Nov. 17, at her home.
