Virginia J. Bishop, 88, life long resident of Anadarko, Oklahoma, was called home by her Lord and Savior of Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Shanoan Springs Nursing Home in Chickasha, Oklahoma, with her loving daughter, Carlota by her side. She was born January 22, 1922 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Rufus and Susie J. (Juarz) Castro. She attended Anadarko School. She was very active with the Washita Valley Bowling League. She met and married the love of her life, William D. "Bill" Bishop on June 16, 1963 in Fort Worth, Texas. They lived in Fort Worth, Texas for 25 years. Virginia and Bill traveled all over the United States visiting many historical sites which included deep sea exeditions off the Gulf Coast. Virginia expressed her happiness in attending church and her love for Jesus Christ through helping others She enjoyed various jobs which included being a waitress and working at Brooks Cleaners. Virginia was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God. She enjoyed life and was very grateful for her husband of 48 years and her loving and devoted daughter. Virginia enjoyed writing and sending cards for all occasions especially holiday's and birthdays to Holly's two children. They always looked forward to her letters and cards which they saved and cherished. She had been a resident of Shanoan Springs Nursing Home in Chickasha since June of this year. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband: Rev. William D. "Bill" Bishop of Chickasha, Oklahoma
one daughter: Carlota Castro of Elgin, Oklahoma
2 sisters: Helen Barfield of Elsworth, Okahoma
Lucille Madrino of Colorado
3 brothers: Raymond Castro and wife, Elinore of Salem, Oregon
Rufus Castro and wife, Viola of Dekab, Texas
Phillip Castro of Maysville, Oklahoma
numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Susie Castro, one brohter, Soliao Castro and two sisters, Ruth Propst, Nadine Overtruf and a nephew, Eugene Castro,
