Alice Hutchens Grover, well known Ririe matron, died suddenly friday afternoon at the family home of a heart attack. She had attended the wedding of her daughter Bonnie to Harlo Anderson friday moring in the LDS Temple.
She was born June 22, 1900 in Labelle, the daughter of David M. and Martha Harrop Hutchens.
She attended schools at Labelle. She married Ursel L Grover June 14, 1916. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple.
Alice was the mother of a large family, and has lived in the Ririe vicinity all of her life were her husband is in engaged in faming.
She was an active memnber of the LDS Church and at the time of her death she was a first counselor in the genealogy work and also served as a block teacher in the Relief Society.
Alice and her husband have always been boosters for the county fair held each fall at Ririe. She always entered her prize flowers and garden vegetables and never failed to take home several prizes.
She is survived by her husband and the following sons and daughters: Ruth Hudson of Alaska; Amber Lovell, Ririe; Zola Kinghorn, Ririe; Merle Ogeltree, Brian, Texas; Blaine Grover, Ririe; Donna Kirby, Idaho Falls; Martha Lee, Milo; Jerry, serving a LDS mission in Pennsylvania, Bonnie Anderson, Clark; Reo, Arlow and Jack Grover who are still at home in Ririe; one sister, Martha Lowder, Labelle, and sixteen grandchildren. She was proceded in death by her son Rex K (1926), her parents David M (1913) and Martha Harrop Hutchens (1905), brothers Marcellous (1928) and William (1926) and one sister Cora (1890).
