Isaac Meade Black of Waterfall, Star Route died on Saturday, October 19, 1963, at 1:10 p.m. at his home. He had been ill for nearly two years.

Born April 9, 1884, at Waterfall, he was the son of David A. and Elizabeth (Baker), Black. He married Pearl M. Cutchall of Waterfall on November 8, 1905, at Three Springs.

His wife survives along with the following children:- Ralph, Waterfall; Chester, Johnstown; Vera Strait, Hustontown; Marjorie Christ, Johnstown; Lloyd, Wells- Tannery; Willard, Puerto Rico and Dorothy Clevenger, McConnellsburg. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Charles Black, Waterfall; Mrs. Emma Cutchall, Mapleton Depot; Mrs. Besse Strait, Waterfall and Roy Black, Mount Union.

Mr. Black spent his entire life In the Waterfall area as a farmer and a coal miner. He was of the Protestant faith.

Funeral services will be, held on Tuesday, October 22, at p.m. in the House funeral home at Hustontown with the Rev. Francis Yarlett, pastor of the Hustontown Methodist charge, officiating. Interment will be made in the Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon today until the hour of the service tomorrow. The family will receive friends - at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. this Monday evening.
