Alice B. Gorham, 93, formally of 35 Pine Street, Great Barrington, died peacefully on Monday, November 15, 2010 at the Equinox in Manchester Center, Vermont.

She was born in Brockton on November 23, 1916, daughter of Steve J. and Eve Gelzinus Bagdon. She attended local Brockton schools and was a graduate of Middleboro High School.

Alice loved gardening, sewing, spending time with her family, and she was also a master at painting with watercolors.

Her husband George H. Gorham, whom she married on February 6, 1939, died June 15, 1988.

Alice is survived by one daughter Barbara Duffany and her husband Lawrence of Manchester Center, Vermont, one son Steve Gorham of Great Barrington, one grandaughter, Sara Duffany of Park City, Vermont, one grandson Brian Duffany and his wife Liz Terrell, great-grandson George, of Denver, Colorado, her sister-in-law Jane Bagdon of Tauton, and two nephews. Besides her husband George, Alice was pre deceased by two brothers, Steve and Adam, and one sister Eva.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South Street, Great Barrington, MA, with the Reverend William P. Murphy officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at a calling hour from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. preceding the funeral.
