James Craig, Sr. was a private in Capt. John Givens Company per the Augusta Co., VA Militia in the Rev. War. He enlisted on 10/16/77 and was discharged on 3/15/82. Mrs. C F Rudolph ordered his military marker on 29 July 1953. It was sent to Ft. Defiance old Cemetery in Ft. Defiance, VA. U.S., Headstone Applications for Military Veterans, 1925-1963 collection (see photo).
