A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday Oct. 25 at Stackus Funeral Home in Boyne City. The Rev. Sherry E. McGuffin of the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Petoskey will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Boyne City.
Sandra was born Aug. 18, 1949, in Evansville Ind. the daughter of James and Mary (Adkins) Strode. As a young girl she moved to California.
On April 7, 1974 she married Ronald J. Girard. In 1976-79 they lived in Boyne city and then returned to California. In 1992 Ron and Sandra moved back to Boyne City where she had resided since.
She was a member of Boyne City Fraternal Order of Eagles. Sandra enjoyed league bowling and played on the Boyne City Lanes Team.
Survivors include her husband Ronald of boyne City, three sons James of Bay Shore, David and Jeff of Boyne City; three grandchildren; mother Mary Strode of Evansville, Ind. Sandra was preceded in death by her father William Strode.
