Eugene Melvin Bolby age 46, of Decatur, died at his home on Thursday, October 3rd. He was born on August 15,1922 in Gridley Illinois. Son of Wilbur and Mae Klug Bolby. He married Bernice Vogel who survives. Funeral services were held for Mr. Bolby on Monday, October 7th from the J.J. Moran funeral home in Decatur. Burial was in the Calvery cemetery there. Other survivors including his wife are a son, Charles, Decatur; two stepsons, Darold and John Vogel, Decatur; a stepdaughter, Rita Vogel, Decatur; his mother of Decatur; two brothers James, Danville Illinois, Lyle, Aurora Illinois, a half sister Dorthy Mitchell, Decatur; two half brothers; William Ahrendt Bloomington, Illinois and Donald Ahrendt of Stonington, Illinois. Mr. Bolby was a World War 11 Veteran and a member of the Staley Fellowship Club. He worked for the A.E.Staley Mfg. Co. In Decatur for 25 years.
