Loicel Leeland Woolever, 70, 419 Avenue G, Fort Madison, died at 6:23 a.m. Sunday Dec. 7 at the St Francis Continuation Care Center, Burlington. He had been ill nine months.

Mr. Woolever was born July 19, 1910 in Fort Madison and was a lifelong local resident. He was a retired employee of the North Central Public Service Company with 33 years of service. He was a member of the First Christian Church and Local of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters (AFL-CIO).

On Sept. 1, 1937, in Fort Madison, he married Irene Sweezer who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, W.R. Woolever, Davis, Ill., Charles Woolever, San Diego, CA, and Thomas Woolever, Fort Madison, and six grandchildren.

His parents were William T. and Bertha (McGunnigle) Woolever, who preceded him in death.

Final rites will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the King-Lynk Funeral Home. The Rev. William R. Kennedy will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

The family will meet friends at the King-Lynk Funeral Home from 7:00 to 8:00 this evening.

A memorial is being established with the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made at the King-Lynk Funeral Home.
