Widow of J. O. Clark, passed away at 8:45 a.m. Sunday at Saginaw General Hospital. Age 67 years. Alice E. Grierson was born June 5, 1889, in Goderich, Ont., and came here in early childhood, spending most of her life in Saginaw, with the exception of 17 years, when she resided in Portland, Ore., returning to Saginaw in 1927. Her first husband, Arthur V. Kent, whom she was married to here July 17, 1908, passed away June 9, 1927. On May 13, 1938, she was married to Mr. Clark, who passed away in 1945. The deceased was a member of the First Congregational Church, its West Side Circle, also Martha Washington Chapter No. 113, O.E.S., and the Rebekah Lodge. Surviving are four sons and three daughters, Mrs. Emory Toms, Saline, La.; Arthur V. Kent, Burbank, Calif.; Justin F. Kent, Glendale, Calif.; Ralph M. Kent, Warren F. Kent, Mrs. Carl B. Roemer, and Mrs. Bruce E. Obuchowski, with whom she made her home, all of Saginaw; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; also one brother and two sisters, George F. Grierson, Detroit; Mrs. J. C. Musser and Miss Charlotte Grierson, both of Saginaw. Funeral service will take place at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Reitz Funeral Home. Rev. Harry G. Suttner will officiate, with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.
