Lincoln School Pupil Succumbs to Ruptured Appendix
David LeRoy Leabo, Eight year old son of Jesse Leabo of the Siskiyou, died Friday afternoon at the local Community hospital following an operation from ruptured appendix. The boy was born February 9, 1923 in Myrtle Point and came here with his father about a year ago making their home near the Shady Springs on the Siskiyous. Young Leabo was enrolled at the local Lincoln grade school and had many young friends in this city. he was taken ill last Tuesday but seemed womwhat better Wednesday and then becoming worse Thursday morning a doctor was called but the appendix had ruptured. Though medical and surgical aid was given immediately the lad did not rally. Besides his father he is survived by four bother and sisters. Two of them living at home. His mother died when he was an infant. During his short illness attending physicians stated that the youngster had the higest temprerature that they had ever seen recorded when it reached a high mark of 110.5 Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 Oclock from the Dodge Chapel with interment in the Mountain View Cemetery.
