COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Mildred D. Hensley Bowling, 78, of Cookeville were held today, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m. in the Cookeville chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Burial was in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Bowling died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Daughter of the late Frank and Loretta Loftis Hensley, she was born Jan. 1, 1924, in Jackson County.
Mrs. Bowling was retired from Wilson Sporting Goods and was of the Church of Christ faith.
Her family includes a daughter, Patti Jones of Nashville; a brother, Claude Hensley of Cookeville; five grandchildren, Chuck Jones of Nashville, Brian and David Bowling and Holly Wallace, all of Cookeville, and Amy Bowling of Ohio; and two greatgrandchildren, Tyler and Kaitlin Jones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. "Bill" Bowling; a daughter, Bette Bowling; two sons, Bill and David Bowling; and two brothers, Shural and Encil Hensley.
