                GRANVILLE BENNETT
                    Funeral Set Today

Funeral services for Granville Bennett, 77, of 1312 1-2 S. Kanawha St., who died at 6:45 p.m. Saturday following a four-month illness, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today from the Melton Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. E. R. Schafer officiating assisted by the Rev. B. L. Jones.

Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

He was born at Grantsville, the son of James A. and Sarah A. Bennett.

A life-long member of the Missionary Baptist Church, Bennett was a school teacher for 19 years, served four years as postmaster at Lanark, and was an attache in the House of Delegates and Senate from 1947-53.

Survivors include his wife Gladys Patton Bennett; a daughter, Mrs. Cleo Dodrell of St. Marys, Pa.; four sons, Chloe and Philip of Flint, Mich.; Ralph D. of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and Keith of Ripley; and two sisters, Mrs. Lena Miller of Clarksburg, and Mrs. Rettie Frame of Frametown.

The body will remain at the Mortuary until the funeral hour.

Active pallbearers will be James, Walter, Warren and Paul Patton, Glen Daniel, and Gordon Richmond.
