Henry Carl Clay, 84, of Ashdown died February 6 in a Texarkana hospital of natural causes. Services were February 7, at Madden Funeral Home Chapel, Ashdown, with Rev. Norman Dodson officiating. Burial was in Blackaby Cemetery, near Ashdown.
Mr. Clay was born February 16, 1902, in Arkansas. He was a member of Blackaby Baptist Church and a retired farmer.
Survivors include two sons, Henry Doyle Clay of Ashdown and Cannon Eugene Clay of Hope, five daughters; Cecile Oliva Tennehill and Mary Elizabeth Smith, both of Ashdown. Lena Irene Lott of Abilene Texas; Lorene Virginia Smith of Fulton, and Margie Maryln Dick of Kokoma, Indiana, one sister, Idie Daniels of Harrison, 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
