Statesboro - Miss Susie Pearl Akins, 73, died Sunday at Candler County Hospital after a short illness. The Bulloch County native was a member of Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church.

Surviving are two brothers, M. Ennis Akins of Alamo, and Lester and Joe Oliff Akins, both of Statesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Smith-Tillman Mortuary of Statesboro.
