Miss Baker died at Rockingham Memorial Hospital Friday morning, from head injuries she received in a car crash near Cross Keys on Thursday evening. She was the daughter of Deputy Sheriff and Mrs. M.D. Baker of Pineville, formerly of the Lacey Spring / Tenth Legion area.

She was a senior at Montevideo High School and a member of Mt. Tabor EUB Church, but was attending Mt. Olive Brethren Church since living in Pineville. Surviving, in addition to her parents, are three sisters, Mrs. Albert Shoemaker, Mrs. Donald Reedy and Ramona Lee Baker; two brothers, Charles Eugene Baker and M.D. Baker, Jr.; a grandfather, G.H. Baker, Sr. and a number of aunts and uncles.
