Helen Edwardsen (Beckvold) was born on 21 Feb 1852 in Loten, Hedmark, Norway, the first of nine children born to Edward Edwardsen Beckvold and Thea Hansen. She was the first of the family to emigrate from Norway to Concord, Massachusetts in the 1870's. On 24 Dec 1881 Helen Edwardsen at age 29 married 22 year old Jens Peter Anderson and from the marriage had five children, two of whom survived to adulthood. Helen Edwardsen (Beckvold) Anderson died on 5 Sep 1890 in Concord, Massachusetts and is buried in the Concord Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
