During his time with the battery, the unit saw action at the battle of Resaca, Kennesaw Mountain, GA, and the siege of Atlanta in Georgia, Jonesboro, GA, Huntsville, AL, and at New Orleans, LA.
Adam married English-born Martha Jane Pecroft, 5/24/1870, in Richland County. He died, 8/31/1893, and Martha, over 31 years later, 10/27/1924, both in Richland County. They were buried in Oakland Cemetery, Shelby, OH.
