Raymond Oswald Bassler
Raymond Oswald Bassler was born in Lima, OH on August 14, 1905. He moved to Toledo, OH where he met his wife, Esther. He was employed by the Toledo Trust Company for 44 years. He was a winter resident in Naples, FL and became a permanent resident in 1993. He belonged to the Royal Poinciana Golf Club and the Naples Yacht Club. He had been a member of the Inverness Club in Toledo for 61 years. He attended the Christian Science Church. He is survived by his step-daughter, Patricia S. Houtz; his grandson, Tod K. Bassler; his three granddaughters, Cary B. Haber, Kate B. Gress and Anne B. Goldsmith; and five great-grandchildren. He had one son, Robert B. Bassler. Services will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Chapel, Naples, FL. The family has entrusted care and services to Hodges Funeral Chapel, 261-01237.
