Henry Austin, aged 81, who, made his home with his son W. C. La Cost on East Main street died while visiting his daughter, Mrs. F. L. Short at Oklahoma City Friday.
The body was brought to Shawnee and funeral services were held at the Bossler-Thompson undertaking parlors Saturday evening at 6 o'clock the Reverend Moreland of the M. E. Church , South, officiating.

He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of Stephen Bally Austin and Anna Ann Lamb. He married Mary Elizabeth Hardwick about 1854. They had 13 children. His Oklahoma Death Certificate lists his year of death as 1919.
