MRS. ALDA E. ARMAGOST

CURWENSVILLE - Mrs. Alda Elizabeth Armagost, wife of James Franklin Armagost of Curwensville R.D. died early yesterday morning in the Clearfield Hospital. She was 46 years of age.

Mrs. Armagost was born in Summerville, Jefferson County, June 22, 1911.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by her mother, Mrs. Mary (Ellenberger) Wampler of Summerville and the following children: Mrs. Catherine Himes, Summerville; Mrs. Mary Alice Smith, Philipsburg; Emma Kay, Elizabeth Ann, Roy Lee, John Joseph and Phyllis, all at home. She also leaves three sisters and a brother: Mrs. Electa Shrengost, Summerville; Mrs. Ethel Parr, Kittanning; Mrs. James Myers, Harbor Creek, Pa. and George Wampler, Erie.

Funeral services will be held from the Shoff Funeral Home in Madera, where friends will be received, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The body will then be taken to the Reitz Funeral Home in Brookville for viewing Thursday afternoon and evening and until time of final services Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The officiating minister will be the Rev. J.L. Showalter of Lumber City. Burial will be in the Asbury Cemetery, Asbury, Pa.

Mrs. Armagost was a graduate of the Brookville School of Nursing and was a member of the Lumber City Methodist Church.

Mrs. Alda Elizabeth Armagost, 46, died Tuesday (April 15, 1958) in Clearfield Hospital, after being a patient there for the past month. Mrs. Armagost was born in Summerville on June 22, 1911, a daughter of Jesse and Mary (Ellenberger) Wampler. She is a graduate of the Brookville Nursing School, class of 1935, and a member of the Methodist church in Lumber City.

Surviving are her Husband, James Franklin of Curwensville; her mother; eight children, Mrs. Catherine Himes, Summerville, Mrs. Mary Alice Smith, Phillipsburg, Emma Fay, Elizabeth Ann, Roy Lee, John, Joseph and Phyllis, all at home; three sisters, Mrs. Electa Schrengost, Summerville; Mrs. Ethel Tarr, Kittanning, Mrs. Jane Myers, Harbor Creek; one brother, George of Erie.

Friends are being received at the 1 Shoff funeral home, Madera, until 2 p,m. Thursday. Services will be held in the funeral home at that time, and the-body will be transported then to Reitz funeral home, Brookville. A viewing-will be held there Thursday evening. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Friday with Rev. J. L. Shearwater officiating. Burial will be in the Asbury cemetery, Asbury.
