NENA ARCHULETA Our hearts are sorrowful and heavy as we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, aunt, and for many friends, a mother figure, Nena Archuleta, 90. She was born to Ramon and Josefina Trujillo in Central, New Mexico. Nena was the youngest of six children; her brother, Ramon, and sisters: Anita, Margaret, Luisita and Lucinda grew up in Grant County. She was the force behind a dynamic man, her husband Alex. Together they moved to Santa Fe in 1971 and made this city their cherished home. Survivors include her daughters who dearly loved her: Dolores Henderson and Helen Archuleta. The extended family members: Gary Archuleta and wife Heidi, Anna Archuleta, Alexis Henderson and husband Eric; other survivors include 5 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to those who were present and ever caring the last months of her life: Dr. Gloria Ruiz, Dr. Julie Martinez, Brook Martin, Dr. Oti, the Health Care Odyssey Hospice support group, friends, neighbors, Laura, Socorro and Pilar. We are most grateful. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, 5 p.m. where a Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. at Berardinelli Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, November 4, 2010, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Rosario Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Berardinelli Family Funeral Service 1399 Luisa Street, Santa Fe, NM 87505 (505)984-8600
