Graveside services for John "Grasshopper" "Dubby" McFaul, 21, of Edwardsville, were Wednesday, June 11, at Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Mr. McFaul died Friday, June 6, 2008, in Fayette, Ala.
He was born March 19, 1987, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Paul and Cindy McFaul.
Mr. McFaul grew up in Edwardsville and attended Bonner Springs and Edwardsville schools. He worked for Two Men and a Truck in the Kansas City area and volunteered his services for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. At the time of his death, he was living in Fayette, Ala., where he was working in construction. He was known to many as "Grasshopper."
Survivors include his parents, Paul and Cindy McFaul, and his younger sister, Brittany, all of Edwardsville; a stepbrother, Stephen McFaul, Wichita, Kan.; a stepsister, Stephanie McFaul, Portland, Ore.; paternal grandmother Lea Pearl McFaul, Wichita, Kan.; and maternal grandmother, Bettie L. Mance, Bonner Springs, Kan.
To help the family with funeral expenses, memorial contributions can be made to his father, Paul McFaul, sent in care of Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS 66012.
