From The Wolbach Messenger, Wolbach, Nebraska, Thursday, January 16, 1913, transcribed by Linda Berney:

On Monday morning Mrs. D. P. Terry passed away at the close of a long illness aged 59 years, 3 months and 20 days.

Annabelle Sams was born in Ripley County, Indiana Sept. 24th, 1854. She moved to Bremer Co., Iowa in 1866 and resided there until 1871, when she was united in marriage to Don P. Terry and to them 8 children were born, six sons and two daughters.

After a short residence at Bremer Co., Iowa, they moved to South Dakota and from there came to Nebraska in 1891 having lived here since.

The funeral services were held in the M. E. Church Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. J. H. McDonald of this city, her pastor. Mrs. Terry was one of the best church workers, also taking a great interest in the Sunday School work. The funeral was attended by many who came from far and near to pay their tribute of respect and love to their departed friend, and tender their most profound sympathy to the grief stricken husband, children and other kindred.

Card of Thanks – We desire to express our sincere thanks to the many kind friends who so kindly helped us to enlighten the burden of our bereavement in the sickness and death of our beloved wife and mother. Don P. Terry and Children.
