Archie B. Hemler, 74, 1409 W. Shaw St., died Tuesday (Jan. 8, 1992) at his home.

Services are pending at Denton Funeral Home.

He was born on June 16, 1917, in Alto, La. He lived in Downsville, La., for 15 years before moving to Artesia in 1936. He was a barber and watch repairman.

Mr. Hemler married Edna Lee on Jan. 29, 1968, in Pecos, Texas, and moved to Carlsbad in 1970.

He was a charter member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 2162 in Artesia, where he was a member for 24 years.

Survivors include his wife, Edna L. Helmer, Carlsbad; one son, Richard Jolly, Jacksonville, Fla.; four daughters, Linda Nadine Graham, Vancouver, Wash., Alice Fay Woolsey, Andrew, Texas, Cathey May Hemler, Phoenix, and Wanda Richardson, Germantown, Tenn.; one brother, Albert C. Hemler, Carlsbad; and two sisters, Bernice Perry, Carlsbad, and Louise Malone, Downsville, La.

HEMLER

Graveside service for Archie B. Hemler, 74, 1409 W. Shaw St., will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Carlsbad Cemetery. The Rev. Billy Weckel of Hillcrest Baptist Church will officiate.

Mr. Hemler died Wednesday (Jan. 8, 1992) in his home.

Fraternal rites will be recited by the Loyal Order of Moose.

Arrangements are being handled by Denton Funeral Home.
