CHARLES A. ARROWOOD
ERWIN - Charles A. "C.A." Arrowood, 80, 117 Sycamore St., died Tuesday night in Unicoi County Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was a son of the late Elbert and Susan Peterson Arrowood and was a retired employee of Clinchfield Railroad, where he was a boilermaker. He was a member of Cherokee Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for a number of years.
He was preceded in death by a son, Paul Arrowood, in 1975.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Birdie Thomas Arrowood; three sons, C.B. Arrowood, of the home, and William and Lee Arrowood, both of Erwin; three brothers, Sammy Arrowood, Erwin, Lester Arrowood, Limestone, and Floyd Arrowood, Jonesboro; five sisters, Mrs. Pansy Rathbone, Burnsville, N.C., Mrs. Minnie Autry, Erwin, Mrs. Etta Johnson, Chuckey, and Mrs. Ora Chapman and Mrs. Olabell Broyles, both of Johnson City; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
