Bruce S. Cadwalader, 53, a lifelong resident of Chase, died Wednesday, October 27, in Kodiak, Alaska, while on a hunting trip. Born June 7, 1957, in Kingston, he was a son of the late Albert and Elizabeth Chmura Cadwalader.

He was a graduate of Lake-Lehman High School, class of 1975.

Bruce, along with his brother, Gary, ran their business, Cadwalader Excavating, together. Bruce and his brother Gary were inseparable, enjoying working and hunting together. They had the rare opportunity of traveling to Alaska, big-game hunting on numerous trips. Bruce also traveled to New Mexico, Texas and Colorado to hunt. He was a very talented taxidermist who had a very impressive trophy room at his home in Chase. He also enjoyed hunting with his beloved bird- and rabbit-hunting dogs. Bruce was also a talented carpenter and wood worker, which he enjoyed as a hobby. He was a member of the North American Hunting Club and Alaska Hunting Club.

Surviving are his brother, Gary W., Chase; his aunt Lois Cadwalader Kittle, Chase; his cousins, Craig Kittle, Chase; Sharon and husband, Ralph Stogoski, Dallas; Laurie Kittle, Alexandria, Va.; Cathy Verdekal and Gene Vilewinski, Wilkes-Barre; Debbie Chmura, Plymouth; Paula and Tom Shook, Swoyersville; and Linda Pollock, Pompano Beach, Fla., and their families.

A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday evening in the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, Dallas, with the Rev. W. James Pall officiating.

Interment will be in Lehman Center Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday from 6 .p.m. until time of service.
