BATCHELOR WINSTON-SALEM - Mrs. Trina Mathis Batchelor, 50, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. She was born in Winston-Salem on August 16, 1959, to William Barney Mathis and the late Rosa Lee Mathis. Trina was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was an amazing woman who always gave of herself and would take care of people in any way that she could. Always extremely kind, Trina was admired by her friends and family for her ability to bring people together. Trina loved to read, go on walks, and take trips to the beach and mountains. Around the house, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with loved ones. She dedicated herself to being an outstanding wife and mother, and made this dedication obvious every day through her words and actions. Trina was a blessing to those around her, and all those close to her are better for having known her. In addition to her father and step-mother, Mildred Mathis, Trina is survived by her husband, Steve Batchelor; sons, Kevin Batchelor and Corey Batchelor; brother, Dennis Mathis and wife, Diana; two nieces and three nephews.
