LAURA ELLA ACKER
Formerly of 1718 11th St., died at 3:55 p.m. yesterday, Jan. 2, 1974, at Valley View Home, where she had resided for the past six years, after an extended illness. She was born March 24, 1891, in Hollidaysburg, a daughter of William A. and Lavina (Blackburn) Good, and married Elmer E. Acker, who died Sept. 18, 1942. Surviving are five sons, D. Ellsworth of Baltimore, Md., William I,; Melvin M. and Elmer E. Jr. of Altoona, and Raymond M. of Tampa, Fla.; 17 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Acker was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Patriotic Order of Americans, Pride of Altoona, Daughters of America. Friends will be received in the Carn Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
