Maggie was born to Simon and Emma Jane Alley Seay. She had one son Lee Andrew Seay.

Maggie married Melvin Lewis Stanley on June 23, 1924 in Henrico County. Maggie and Melvin had five children together ~ Jane Elizabeth, Lewis Howard, Mary Pauline, Ernest Benjamin and Doris Dell.

Maggie died in Sheltering Arms Hospital.
