Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elveta NeSmith Barnes of Statesboro; two sons, Barry Barnes of Atlanta and Bruce Barnes of Statesboro; a daughter, Mrs. Judith Holcomb of Saraland, Ala.; four sisters, Mrs. R.A. Thomas of Abbeville, Ala., Mrs. Wilbur Folson of Dothan, Ala., and Miss Hortense Barnes and Mrs. James Thomason, both of Mobile, Ala.; five brothers, Frank Barnes of Port St. Joe, Fla., James and Marvin Barnes, both of Abbeville. Charles Barnes of Tarpon Springs, Fla., and Fred Barnes of Lenora, N.C.; and six grandchildren.
Funeral: 3 p.m. today at Nevils United Methodist Church; burial in the church cemetery. Smith-Tillman Mortuary of Statesboro.
