Mrs. Atchley came to Texas in February 1893. She was united in marriage to Mr. Atchley 24 December 1892 and to this union, eight children were born, all of whom survive.
Mrs. Atchley was a devout member of the First Baptist Church. She was converted in Blount County, Tennessee at the age of 18 years.
Survived by her husband; four sons - Paul, Lee, Willis and Clifford Atchley; four daughters - Mrs. Ray Ramsey, Mrs. B.B. Fitz, Mrs. C.E. Wright and Mrs. D.R. Willard; 33 grand; 6 great; two sisters - Mrs. C.B. Chandler and Mrs. O.G. Seigler; one brother - J.D. Leatherwood.
