MARTIN - Services for J. Q. Adams, 80, retired farmer, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Public Wells Baptist Church with the Reverend Jerry Gallimore officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Doug Murphy Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Adams died Monday at Volunteer General Hospital after a short illness.
He was a member of Public Wells Baptist Church.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Annie H. Adams of Martin; a daughter, Mrs. Geneva Adams Poyner of Des Plaines, Illinois; five sons, Howard Adams of Whittier, California, the Reverend John Adams of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Oren Adams of Big Springs, Texas, Dale Adams of Milan, and Dean Adams of Martin; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Carmichael of Dyersburg; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
