Pamela Lee Pittman Fritchlee Armstrong, of Longmont, Colorado, died at her home on September 3, 2008, following a sudden illness. She was 55 years old.
Pam loved animals and supported several wolf, mountain lion, and large animal rescues as well as local humane societies. She also enjoyed decorating her home for holidays and special occasions.
Ms. Armstrong was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son, Samuel Ray Fritchlee and his wife, Kara Lynn and their daughter, Kyleigh Lynn, all of Longmont; and by her former husband, Danny Michael Fritchlee of Washington, DC.
Family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2008, at Howe Mortuary, Longmont. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9 at Howe Mortuary with Pastor Marcel Pichot of the Longmont Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery

Pamela Lee Pittman was born to Herschal G. Pittman and Bernice Helen Armstrong-Pittman on November 3, 1952 in Durango, Colorado. As a child she traveled throughout the U S with her parents. Her parents were entertainers, known as Smokey and Bunnye and travled mostly up and down the west coast. In the 1960's, the family settled in Elkins, Arkansas. Pamela attended high school in Huntsville, Arkansas and graduated in 1972. Pamela married Danny Michael Fritchlee on February 14, 1974, and gave birth to her only child, Samuel Ray Fritchlee, on December 18, 1974. She lived in Fayetteville, Ark, Berryville, Ark, Omaha, Ark, Rudd, Ark, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lyons, Co, and Longmont, Co. To help support her family, she worked at several jobs. She worked at Baldwin Piano, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Johnson Publishing Co., in Boulder, Colorado, worked as a food service employee for the Longmont Public School System in Longmont, Colorado, and was a Public Bus Driver for First Transit in Longmont, Colorado. Pamela passed away September 3, 2008, at home follwing a brief illness. She leaves behind, her former husband, her son, Samuel Ray Fritchlee, and his wife Kara Woertman-Fritchlee, and her granddaughter, Kyleigh Lynn Fritchlee. She was laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont, Colorado.
